When the entire India is celebrating the success of our athletes at the Asian Games 2018, there were few like Shobhaa De who were making fun of their humble and poor background.
Just to jog back our memory, the same Shobha De had mocked the Indian Olympic squad during 2016 Olympic Games
During the 2016 Olympics De suggested in a tweet that Indian athletes visit the Olympics merely to take selfies and spend government money. Her comment received widespread criticism from various quarters
De was also criticized for her remarks when she supported separation of Mumbai from Maharashtra to create a separate entity
