Is TOI Twitter handle managed by Samina Shaikh who makes fun of Hindu Rituals

Why there is Hindu phobia on Times of India?

Every day you will see one user or the other criticizing Times of India for its biased stand against. If a person from minority community has committed a crime you will not see the name of the criminal. However if it is other way round then the names are highlighted and the entire community is blamed for the act.

Have you ever wondered why you see news related to Hinduphobia on Times of India?  Why such well-known media institutions do this kind of journalism?

Is it because the Social Media handles of Times of India are handled by Samina Shaikh who is known for abusing Hindus and making fun of their rituals? Is it true that Samina is afflicted with

Hinduphobia and it is one of the main reasons that readers often find biased news reporting in TOI?
Samina  Shakkh is the head of the Bombay Times and is associated with several editions of the Times Group.

This revelation came to limelight when A shared by Samina shared a Tweet from her personal account and immediately after that the same tweet was also shared from Times of India account.

This tweet was about Kheer made for Iftari. This tweet was shared by Sameena on her Twitter with a picture and wrote on it “Made Rice Kheer today! Simple and Yummy - waiting for Iftari to taste it…Yay ”
Users who follow both accounts on social media did not take long to understand what is the matter?

A user started looking at all the old tweets of Samina and took screenshots to make public how big Samina is from Hinduphobia.

Looking at the screenshots, it was clearly revealed that Samina also mocked the sentiments of Hindus on issues like Gomutra, Gobar in the Corona epidemic and advised BJP supporters to apply burnol on issues like unemployment.

Apart from this, the user who brings his reality in front of people, revelaed that Samina has also lodge a complaint against him in Mumbai Police, on the basis of the fact that people are questioning her due to the users tweet.

Let me tell you, although Samina has locked her twitter handle. But The users have already culled out a lot of tweets where she is seen mocking Hindus
People are also trending a hashtag with Boycott Times of India

Zomato Swiggy starts Home Delivery of Liquor

Zomato And Swiggy starting "liquor at home" service

Now, Zomato digs for Gold in food delivery business

As soon as the Wine shops were opened after completion of Lockdown 2 a lot of chaos was seen across all the states in India. The people thronged to the liquor shops breaking all the Lockdown norms of social distancing leading to police action in many areas.

Mumbai banned the sale of loquor immediately after the chaos. However other states continued the sale. The reason behind opening the shops is the revenue loss that the governments are facing amid Covid-19 Pndemic.

Now here is a good news for the people who drinks and doen't want to go outside and risk their lives. The online delivery of wine is starting soon. The Indian food delivery company Zomato is planning to deliver liquor at home and the process of getting approvals is on.

According to a report in Reuters Swiggy is also planning to deliver Liquor.
Buy Liquor Online | Best Price Guarantee | CwSpirits.com
“We believe that a technology-enabled home delivery based solution can promote responsible consumption of alcohol,” Mohit Gupta, Zomato’s CEO for food delivery, wrote in a business proposal, Reuters reported. India currently has no legal provisions of home deliveries of alcohol. However, industry body International Spirits and Wines Association of India (ISWAI) is lobbying to change the same along with Zomato and others.
Zomato and Swiggy used to deliver food pre-Covid-19. However after the pandemic spread and when all the restaurants were closed the two companies started delivering essential items and groceries. This helped in survival of these two big companies. Now the companies are expecting a huge surge in the orders for liquor. Therefore they have hired thousands of new employees to cater to the high demand

Shadab Najar, Jamia Student who got injured by firing during CAA protests supports Riaz Naikoo

Shouldn't he be arrested for supporting Radical Terrorism in Kashmir

Remember Shadab Najar, who was injured after a man opened fire during an anti-CAA protest near Jamia Millia Islamia University?? He is a second-year student of MCRC.

The same bearded guy with long hair is seen supporting the Islamic Radical Terrorism in Kashmir. You would understand from the posts that he usually share in his Social Media handles, that why we are saying this.

When the entire country was celebrating the killing of dreaded Islamic terrorists and Hijbul Commander Riaz Naikoo, this man was glorifying the terrorists neutralized by the Indian Army.
Shadab Najar recently shared an artice by anti India Propagandist Al Jazeera and gave the caption

“By raising our guns against Indian rule in Kashmir, we want to let them know that we will not accept the occupation of our land under any circumstance. We will respond to their force with force since that seems to be the only language they understand.”

These are the words of Islamic Terrorist Riaz Naikoo that he shared on his wall. It definitely implies that he supports the Radical Islamic Terror in the Kashmir Valley.

Earlier also this guy has shared many posts that clearly shows his inclination towards radical elements. He has shared posts critical of Indian Army and posts that support terrorists like Burhan Wani.

Ways to Fast Track Your Startup in 2020

How can you fast track your startup in 2020 – Some tips

· India is emerging as one of the largest startup ecosystems in the world

· India has been recognized across globe for successful startups

· Investors from all over the world are always hunting for Indian Startups as they see a huge growth opportunity here

· Initially Most of the successful startups have faced curveballs

Are you not satisfied with the performance of your startup despite giving your best efforts? Are you still thinking what went wrong in the financial year 2019-2020? Are you looking for some tips to fast track your startup in 2020? Don’t get disheartened and start preparing for the new financial year. The research shows that 20% of the entrepreneurs, who previously failed, succeeded on their next attempt.
The household name Swiggy started its operations with just 6 delivery boys covering a small region near Bengaluru in 2014. And by 2019 it was operational in over 500 cities.

Flipkart was founded by Sachin and Binny Bansal in 2008 with a mere investment of Rupees 4 Lakhs. It went on to become one of the largest ecommerce startups in India. In August 2018, Walmart acquired a 77% controlling stake in Flipkart for US $16 billion. There are hundreds of success stories in India be it big players like Byju’s, Paytm, or relatively small but successful startups like Country Delight and MilkBasket.

Keep the motivation level always high

You already own the startup and by now must have experienced that it is a laborious task to make it a success. You need to be determined, focused and willing to continue to overcome all the difficulties and challenges that you faced in the last financial year.

Keep the level of motivation among your employees very high. The employees should be as motivated as you are to take the organization to the next level. Only your motivation level, energy and vision for future can help you keep them motivated.

Use of Social Media

Social media is one of the most powerful tools to spread awareness about your brand. You can have a dedicated social media team that can consistently through various SM platforms can spread the achievements and testimonies of your brand. The team needs to make sure that each and every happy client of yours writes a positive review on social media. It is highly likely that an unhappy customer will immediately give you a bad rating. However Most of the he content customers generally do not write reviews. Here the social media team has to take a lead and convince them for good ratings and reviews.  Social media is definitely helpful in creating an overall brand perception.

Analyse and fix the past mistakes

Many entrepreneurs we spoke with emphasized on working on the conversion rates. The leads are enough in the market but the team struggle to get them converted into sales. When we asked them how they overcame this hurdle they told us that in the last financial year their conversion rate was just 5%. The business development team was asked to do only two things to increase the conversion rate. Vigorous should follow-ups and generate more leads. The simple steps worked wonders and the sales increased leaps and bounds in just 3 months.

Research has also proved that the more you follow-up with the clients the chances o getting business is high. Also need to check the target audience and focus on the markets where the demand of your brand or product is high. There’s an old saying, ‘Fish where the fish are’.

Marketing via Blogs and Websites

Make sure that you have a good website/blog that you keep on updating frequently.  Use of SEO is also very important to attract organic traffic to your site or blog.  You can also keep some budget aside for content marketing, content development promotion of your blogs and social media pages. This will definitely give visibility of your startup resulting in more leads for your business and to build your pipeline.

Retain the loyal customers

Make sure that you keep in touch with your clients by asking your team to pay courtesy visits, send souvenir during their anniversaries or birthdays and remind them that they are special to you. If you have sufficient funds you can have your own customer service department to take care of the clients.

SWOT Analysis

In this day and age the markets are very dynamic, and you need to be abreast with the latest market trends. SWOT analysis at regular intervals is very important for you to stay alive in the cut throat competition. One of the startup owners told us that every Monday they have a meeting and they call it ‘LESSONS LEARNT’. The team discusses the weekly performance and the focus is on the lessons that everybody learnt during the last week. The 7 members of the team when share their lessons learnt, mean all of us has 7 lessons learnt in that particular week.

If you keep some of these points in mind then nobody can stop your startup from reaching new heights. Remember that overnight success is a dream. Only perseverance, strong determination and hard work lead to success. Keep on investing in skills and adapting to new technology. Last financial year what you did was fine but in order to grow and achieve your goals you can’t continue doing the same things.

How to Start a New Business in USA: Important Tips

  • Planning to start your own business
  • Looking for some good business ideas
  • Want to know how you can get funding for your Startup
We will show you how you can start your own business in USA if you have any business idea. What are the legalities and the funding options for your business?

Starting a New Business in the USA

First of all you need to decide on which business would be right for you. You do a survey around your region and see what is high on demand now. Make sure that you have understood the business that you are choosing, and it suits your business goals. If you are not sure which business type will suit your plan you can get in touch with The Brand Global Team by writing at connect@thebrandglobal.com. One of our team members will assist you in finalizing your plans. It is better to take advice from the experts when you are a novice in any field.

What Type of Company you are looking for

Once you have the business plan ready then you need to decide which type of company you would like to start. In USA you have many options with you. Some of the popular choices are:

LLC - Limited Liability Corporation

LLC is the most common business type in the USA. The US laws protects your assets in case you face business debts and lawsuits. No big hassles as far as taxation structure are concerned. If you expect that revenue of your business will be small then you can go for LLC. Both residents and non-residents can start an LLC.

C-Corporation

If you are a non-resident and want to start your Business in USA then C-Corporation is recommended for you. Moreover if you want investors to fund your venture and you wish to have shares of your company then you can start a C-Corporation. If you are US residents then you can go for S-Corporation

S-Corporation

With S-Corporation you will have certain advantages as it is only meant for US Residents. Here you are exempt from double taxation. If you think you will make a good revenue then this is the best choice for you as you can save more taxes

Sole Proprietorship

In a Sole Proprietorship, no formal filings are required and it is simplest of all the forms of businesses. However the disadvantage is that in a sole proprietorship, you will have to take personal liability for all business matters. Your business assets and liabilities are not separate from your personal assets and liabilities. If you face debt situation or a loss then you have to compensate that with your personal assets.

Financing your Business

In the USA there are numerous government backed loans and funding programmes for your business. There are government guaranteed loans, financial assistance and grants to start your business.

Some of the options are:

Small Busines Loans – There are many types of loans that you can apply for starting your company or business in USA.

Government Funding Options - There are funding programmes like Small Business Investment Company Programme, Small Business Innovation Research Programme etc. for funding of new Businesses.

Look for the genuine crowd funding sites where you can request to raise funds for your start-up project.

Laws & Tax Requirements for your Business

When you are in a business it is very important that your business is complying with federal, state, and local tax laws.

You need to ensure that all the federal tax requirements for starting a business are met. For more details you can get the information from this official link of US Government

checklist from the IRS.

Apart from complying with all the US laws you also need to ensure that you also follow the consumer protection laws marketing. While hiring the employees for your business keep in mind that here also you need to comply with federal and state regulations.

You can hire only those Foreigners who have permission from the Government to work in USA. It is better to register your company with online E-Verify system. Here is the link where you can register

https://www.e-verify.gov/

Above all you need to secure your new Business by taking a right insurance coverage

Impact of Corona Virus on Economy - Covid-19 Impact

The deadly disease is creating havoc across the globe with almost all the countries in the world have reported the Corona infection. It was first identified in Wuhan China and took little over two months to spread across the globe.

India too has been fighting the Corona Virus with over 215 reported cases as on 19th March 2020. The government of India has taken a lot of measures to control the spread of Covid-19. It has put visa restrictions and stopped operating flights to the infected countries.

The government has been doing vigorous awareness campaigns to make sure people of the country are protected from the deadly virus. Even WHO is closely monitoring the situation and in constant touch with various governments, experts and health organizations to help the countries where the resources are limited.

The  Corona outbreak has also infected the economies and financial markets around the world. The companies and workers all over are worried about the anticipated financial losses. The Bombay Stock Exchange was hovering around 28000 on March 19, way below the 41,952 peaks that it touched in Mid January just 2 months ago.

The Indian Rupee is also struggling against the US Dollar. On March 19, 2020, it just slipped below the 75 mark due to corona scare.

The Short Term and Long Term Economic Impact of Corona Virus

Certainly, there is going to be a significant impact of Covid-19 in the near future. The businesses across the globe have already suffered considerable losses. The stock markets of all the major economies including USA, UK, China, India, have crashed and the investments have dried due to the impact of Corona.

China, the world’s largest exporter is expecting a significant economic slowdown in 2020. China is one of the biggest trade partners of India and the Chinese slowdown will have an impact on the Indian economy as well. India imports 45% of its electronic items from China, apart from the major chink of chemicals. Indian Pharma industry is dependent on raw materials from China. Most of the top selling Mobiles come from China. The Indian imports will have an impact due to the current slowdown due to Covid-19.

Similarly, when it comes to exports, China is one of the biggest partners of India. The slowdown in China means less export from India resulting in a slowdown in India as well.

However, it is too early to predict the long-term implication of the Corona Virus disease. India is a big country with a large population and huge consumer spending. Once the virus is under control and the confidence of the public is restored it won’t take much time to revive.

Therefore economists are of the opinion that the impact may last long but there may be a slowdown in the GDP growth in many sectors.

Who will take care of Daily wagers and people who are losing Businesses?

In his address to the nation on March 19, 20202, The Prime Minister Narendra Modi requested the countrymen to not cut the pay of domestic help and others who can’t work from home.
PM Modi also appealed to the Business community to refrain from deducting salaries of the employees during this period of Corona scare.
“Please understand that they too have to run their families”
The daily wagers, small vendors, contractual workers and many others like them are the most vulnerable when the cities are locked down. How are they going to make both ends meet? Here are some steps that the government can take to help the affected population
Tax relief to the small companies and MSME’s
  • Unemployment bonus for the workers who have lost the jobs during this period
  • Stipend to the daily wagers who are unable to get work, and to the small vendors who have to shut shop due to lockdown
  • Waiving of fees of the kids for few months
  • Offering loans at low interest rates to the companies to stand again.
There are some steps that the government of India has already taken like compensating the companies for employees’ leaves. Directly transferring the amount to the accounts of the poor and free medical treatment.
The meaningful steps by the governments will definitely help in keeping the local businesses afloat. It will also help the most impacted and mitigate the economic impact of Covid-19 outbreak.
The steps will help revive the economy once we are free from this virus.

Responsibility of the citizens

It is very important for the citizens of the country to cooperate with the government in controlling the pandemic. Many states of India are now impacted with Covid-19, the citizens need to be careful and informed. Everyone should follow the advisories issued by the health department, government of India and doctors.

The PM has urged the nation to observe a Janta Curfew on March 22, 2020 to fight Corona Virus outbreak in India. The PM is getting support from all quarters for the Janta Curfew. Celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devdan and Amitabh Bachan have come out in support of it.

Janta Curfew will be observed on March 22, between 7 AM and 9 PM. “During this curfew, we shall neither leave our homes nor get onto the streets or roam about our localities. Only those associated with emergency and essential services will leave home,” the PM said.
The fight against Covid-19 is a joint responsibility of the government and the citizens of the country. The community leaders, political leaders, companies and other influencers should contribute to reduce the spread of Corona Virus.

The Business community in particular should implement the government advisory. The employees who have travelled to the countries where corona is widely spread should be asked to stay quarantined. The sick employees should be asked to stay at home. Wherever possible the employees need to be encouraged to work from home. The companies need to follow flexible timings and can also work in shifts to avoid large crowds.

Above all, following a proper respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene is very important for all of us.

Bigbasket acquires Milkbasket and Dailyninja

Gurgaon based MilkBasket is giving a tough competition to Bigbasket especially in Delhi/NCR
Dailyninja acquisition by Bigbasket is almost complete, founders will join BB team
Amazon India and Swiggy were also in the race to acquire MB

The Developments so Far

According to a report in The Times of India, Bigbasket is in talks to buy  Milkbasket, which is being valued at less than $15 million. As of now it stands at 40,000-50,000 deliveries per day. Milkbasket is currently operating  in Delhi-NCR market, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.
It was Milkbasket’s aggressive marketing that prompted Bigbasket to expand its operations and focus more on Bigbasket Daily App
Milkbasket’s strategy of taking orders till 12 in the night and delivering the items before 7 AM worked wonders for them. The refund for the damaged items was instant, striking instant chord with the consumers. More and more consumers then started using the Milkbasket App for their daily needs.
Although Milkbasket ($15M), is relatively small when we compare it with Bigbasket (valued at over $1.2 Billion).
Bigbasket is in the process of consolidating its fresh food delivery business. It is in the last stage of taking control of Milkbasket and Dailyninja. Even the big players like Amazon India and Swiggy also had offers of acquisition but the talks didn’t materialize.
According to reports the acquisition of Dailyninja is almost complete and the founders of Dailyninja will be joining the BB team.

According to sources the main reason why Bigbasket is worried is that the big players like Amazon, Swiggy, Flipkart and Reliance are venturing into the same segment. By acquiring MB it will have a strong base in Delhi/NCR and with Dailyninja it will have an advantage in Bangaluru.

India’s largest grocery startup, BigBasket, operated by Supermarket Grocery Supplies Pvt. Ltd, is currently the market leader in the online grocery segment

The Byju’s and Vedantu are offering free access to the students on their platform in this Covid-19 shutdown.
“Considering the rigour of the exam season, access to the learning program will further assist and help students continue with their preparation for the year-end examinations,” Byju’s said in a statement
The rival company Toppr was also quick to announce the free offers for its live and video recorded classes.

Offers from Vedantu & Extramarks

Vedantu is giving access to the school teachers of various schools across India to take live classes from their homes. Vedantu has launched free ‘Learn Live Online” programme for X and XII students.
ExtraMarks, yet another popular EdTech company, has offered a “Go to School” campaign for school students and the services will be free till April 30, 2020. The teachers can also use this free service to interact with the students.

The big players like Coursera have also announced free online support to the educational institutions.
“We’re going to make ‘Coursera for Campus’ offering freely available to any college or university in the world that is impacted by coronavirus, in the hope that they can rapidly allow students to start learning and ensure we have minimal impact from coronavirus on the student community,” said Leah Belsky, chief enterprise officer and senior vice-president, Coursera.

The good thing about the EdTech platforms is that even during the lockup, the students can continue with their studies. At the same time the institutes and teachers also have the platforms to take online lectures and classes. The parents will also feel relaxed, when they will see their children hooked to studies instead of TV and games.

Narendra Modi attends Virtual G20 Leaders' Summit 2020

The Covid-19 Pandemic forced the G20 countries to unite and convene a Virtual G20 Leaders' Summit on March 26, 2020. The main agenda was to discuss the challenges posed by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and to forge a global coordinated response. PM Modi brought to notice the impact of the pandemic on the economy. However, he also highlighted the importance of human capital.

The G20 Background

The G20, or the Group of Twenty, comprising 19 countries and the European Union, is the premier forum for international economic cooperation. The G20 consists of both developed and developing countries from every continent , and it intends to bring their leaders together.
More importantly, the G20 group shares 80 per cent of world GDP, and the world's 60 per cent population resides in G20 countries.

The 19 countries include India, Indonesia, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Germany, France, Italy, Turkey, Japan, Mexico, the Russian Federation, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, the UK and the US.
This year the G20 Summit is scheduled to be held between 21–22 November 2020 in the Saudi Arabian capital city of Riyadh.

G20 on Covid-19 – March 26, 2020

Amid the Covid-19 crisis, the G20 leaders interacted via video conferencing on Thursday. All the leaders were united and pledged to stop the spread of the Coronavirus by implementing and funding health measures that are needed.
The G20 leaders seemed very much concerned and discussed the ways to deal with the pandemic which has already taken lives of over 21,000 people.
To blunt the social and economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the G20 leaders decided to inject USD 5 Trillion into the economy. The leaders shared the opinion that they should do whatever it takes to overcome the Corona crisis.

PM Modi at G20 Summit on Covid-19

King of Saudi Arabia convened the virtual G20 Summit, and PM Modi thanked him for his initiative and efforts.
While addressing the G20 leaders, PM brought to the notice the impact of the pandemic on the economy. Modi added that G20 countries account for the 80% of world GDP and 60% of world population, yet 90% of the COVID-19 cases and 88% of deaths due to Corona were in G20 countries. He emphasized on the need of a concrete action plan from G20 partners to fight Covid-19
"Let us put human beings rather than economic targets at centre of our vision for global prosperity and cooperation," PM Modi.
PM highlighted that human lives are more important than the economy. He wanted all the countries to share the benefits of medical research and development with other countries so that the entire humanity is benefited. He insisted on empowering the World Health Organisation (WHO) for the development of effective vaccines to deal with global pandemics.

PM hinted that the world may have a far-reaching social and economic impact due to the coronavirus outbreak. Therefore, he underlined and requested the G20 leaders to develop a new crisis management protocol to deal with a global health crisis.

Conclusion

It was anticipated that some G20 leaders may discuss the Chinese origin of Corona but no nation discussed it. However to deal with the Covis-19 crisis the spirit of all the leaders was of collaborative approach.
All the G20 leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, and the US President Donald Trump agreed to contribute to the WHO-led COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund on a voluntary basis.

Finally, a joint statement of G20 Leaders was issued at the end of the Summit. The statement called for a coordinated global response to fight the pandemic, adopting measures to safeguard the global economy, minimising trade disruption and steps to enhance global cooperation.
