All about Akash Tablet $ 50 PC
The dream project of Kapil Sibbal for providing an economical and cheap Computer to the students was finally launched with the brand name Akash. Earlier the name of this tablet was supposed to be Sakshath Tablet but later changed to Akash Tablet. Launched on 5th October Akash Tablet is being prepared by the assistance of Government of India and IITians. There was lot of talks around the corporate sector about the pricing of the Akash Tablet. It seemed to be an impossible task to make a PC tablet in such a small budget but has been finally achieved and Government launched Akash.
The selling price of the Akash tablet is around Rs 3000. However the Akash tablet will be available at a subsidized rate of Rs 1100-1800 for the students and teachers.

Akash Tablet PC is manufactured in India by Datawind in Hyderbad. The length of Akash Tablet is 7inch and its weight is just 350gms. Akash Tablet has Android processor 2.2.
