India can witness six lakh cases per day in the next wave that may hit India between September and October

COVID-19 की तीसरी लहर अक्टूबर के आसपास भारत में आ सकती है, बच्चों को वयस्कों के समान जोखिम: MHA पैनल

एनआईडीएम द्वारा गठित विशेषज्ञों के पैनल ने चेतावनी दी कि इस बार बच्चों को भी वयस्कों की तरह ही जोखिम हो सकता है।

 

According to the expert panel the third wave of COVID-19 may hit India between September and October. The panel was set up by an institute under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). The expert panel also recommended that the Central government should step up the inoculation drive significantly to tame the imminent surge in infections.

The panel constituted by the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), has also warned that this time children may also be at similar risk as adults.

 "Paediatric facilities, doctors and equipment like ventilators, ambulances, etc. are nowhere close to what may be required in case a large number of children become infected," According to a report in India Today

 

प्रधान मंत्री कार्यालय (पीएमओ) को सौंपी गई रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि चूंकि केवल 7.6 प्रतिशत (10.4 करोड़) लोगों को ही पूरी तरह से टीका लगाया गया है, भारत में टीकाकरण की गति तेज नहीं होने पर अगली लहर में प्रति दिन छह लाख मामले सामने आ सकते हैं।
