US completes withdrawal of forces from Afghanistan just before the end of deadline given by the Taliban
The last US soldier left Afghanistan before the Tuesady deadline. The POTUS has drawn heavy criticism from across the globe for his handling of Afghanistan
Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid has said that once the US forces leave Afghanistan ISIS attacks will stop.
Meanwhile, US has also suspended the diplomatic presence in Afghanistan and moved its operations to Qatar - Antony Blinken, US Secretary of State
“We hope that those Afghans who
are influenced by the Islamc State… will give up their operations on seeing the
formation of an Islamic government in the absence of foreigners,” Mujahid was
quoted as saying.
