An Indian cricket Team named Taliban Cricket Club triggers row in Congress ruled Rajasthan

Indian Cricket Team named after TALIBAN in Jaisalmer Rajasthan



A few days after a member of the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board, Maulana Sajjad Nomani, praised the Taliban for its successful capture of Afghanistan, a Taliban Cricket Club was formed in Rajasthan.

After Taliban took over Afghanistan, there has been a chaotic situation in Afghanistan and thousands of Afghans have already taken refuge in other countries.  Women in particular are scared about their safety and security in Afghanistan.

A cricket tournament was organized in Jaisalmer district in Rajasthan where a team named “Taliban Cricket Club” took part in a tournament.

After the controversy the organizers of the cricket tournament has apologised. They said that it was by mistake that they included the team which has been now removed after the first match.

The name of the organizer of this tournament in which Taliban Club participated is Ismael Khan.

The Bhaniyana village where the cricket tournament was organised is dominated by the minority community according to the sources. It is close to the Pakistan border
