Just to remind you that the first World Expo was organized in London way back in 1851. It was also known as London’s Great Exhibition. Many countries since then have organized World Expos around the theme that helps in improving knowledge in culture, arts, science and technology.

The theme for the last World Expo which was held in Milan was ‘Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life’. The main focus was on nutrition and food.

Preparations of Expo Dubai 2021

The UAE tourism and hospitality sectors are working day night to make all the arrangements to host the grand event despite many challenges.

Najeeb Mohammad Saleh, head of the planning research section in the planning department at Dubai Municipality, told Gulf News: "When we started to prepare the plan, we first took into consideration how the city is going to grow and what its growth rate would be.”

"We looked at three different scenarios - low, medium and rapid. We have adopted the medium-growth scenario, and expect the population by 2020 to be about 2.8 million."

There are many Luxury hotels coming up and would be ready by the time Woeld Expo begins. All luxury hotels Dubai is expected to be sold out during the Expo 2020. Then there are other projects that are presently underway in Dubai. They include Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, Dubai Canal Project and Bluewaters Island

World Expo Dubai 2021 Dates and timing

Expo Dubai 2021 will start from 20 October 2021, and will run for 6 months till March, 2022. It will be open seven days a week.

Weekdays Timing - 1000 to 0100
Weekends and special days Timing - 1000 to 0200

Getting there - How to reach Expo Dubai 2021

The Dubai Expo 2021 location is close to Al Maktoum International Airport, just 40 minutes drive from Downtown Dubai and within easy reach of Dubai International Airport, Abu Dhabi International Airport. It is a huge 4.38 square kilometers site for this event.

Above all the arrangements, the Expo Dubai 2021 will have its own dedicated Dubai Metro Station, with the capacity of transporting 40,000 passengers per hour to and from the site
