What if my old parents have a medical emergency and the lifts are not functioning - Generator ban worries Residents of High-rise Societies in Noida NCR

Ban on diesel generators in DELHI NCR from today

The people living in NCR are worried as ban on diesel generators, except for emergency purposes, comes into force from October 15, 2020 in Delhi and NCR cities. This was announced by the Environment Pollution (Prevention & Control) Authority as part of the Graded Response Action Plan to control air pollution during this season

Despite ban the stubble burning is still on in Punjab Haryana and neighboring states.

Worry for the residents of High Rise Societies in Noida Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurgaon

The power cuts are very common in NCR and all the socities are dependent on generators for the power backup.

There are many societies which are completely dependent on Gensets for 24 hours as they haven’t got the connection and the builders have given possession to the buyers.

There are many societies which are partially dependent as they get partial load from the grid.

Residents are worried how the old and kids will manage when Lifts will stop functioning. What will they do in case of medical emergency.

People Working from Home are worried

Lakhs of people are still working from home amid Covid-19 crisis. The interruption in power supply may lead to many problems, including broadband internet, charging of laptops and mobiles etc. Their work will definitely be hampered due to this

The administration has assured that residents will get uninterrupted power supply but the residents are not very convinced with the assurances. Every society and region in Noida or Ghaziabad experiences power cut everyday.
