From past two days some section of social media are not happy with Eros Now. The way Eros now has been sharing memes and the content they have used has not gone down well with the social media users. Boycott Eros Now and some similar trends are getting viral onon Twitter and facebook over Navratri memes, which are seen as vulgar by many. Some of the memes are featuring top stars like Katrina Kaif, Salman Khan
One meme with Katrina Kaif in the
picture says “Do you want
to put the ratri in my Navratri”.
Another meme with Salman Khan’s pic says “You need a dandi to play dandiya – I have one.”
Netizens are blaming Ali Hussein, a Muslim CEO, for
such offensive tweets. They believe that it was only after Husein joined the
company they have been witnessing ‘anti-Hindu’ tweets on Eros Now handle.
Hussein has been serving as the company's Chief Operating
Officer since January last year
Eros Now is a well known digital branch, of Eros International PLC. It started its OTT platform in 2012. Eros now has recently has promoted Ali Hussein to Chief Executive Officer, according to reports. Hussein has also served the Discovery Networks, Google, Hungama and Viacom 18, before joning Eros Now. He has over 15 years of experience in the media and digital industry
