India's highest EV charging point installed by Himachal Pradesh in Spiti Valley

World's Highest Electric Vehicle Charging Station (EV Charging Point) set up in Lahaul Spiti Himachal Pradesh

 

goEgoNetwork, a Pune-based company installed the highest EV charging station in Himachal Pradesh's Spiti Valley on Thursday (September 23, 2021). The company has set up two EV chargers, one for two and other for four-wheelers in Kaza. 

This is the first station here. If the station gets good response, more stations would be set up. It'll also help check vehicular pollution: Kaza SDM Mahendra Pratap Singh. 

Now the tourists coming to the valley in electric vehicles will have no problem of charging their vehicles. This will also promote more people coming in electric vehicles and thus help in reducing the pollution in Himachal

Two electric scooters have been provided by the company to the local administration to promote e-vehicles in the valley. Singh also said that two riders rode on e-scooters from Manali to Kaza.
