In fact, an objection was lodged in Ghattu village on Tuesday over the activities of some youths who came from Tamil Nadu. Nokha police was informed about this by the local public. As soon as the police brought those youth to Nokha police station, a huge crowd gathered in front of Nokha police station.

Expressing displeasure over the release of these youths on bail, Nokha was closed on Wednesday morning. Raising slogans near the clock tower, questions were raised on the role of the police.

It was alleged that the police was supporting one side. All the main markets of Nokha remained completely closed till 11 am. Medicine shops have been exempted under essential services, while remaining other business establishments have been kept closed.

Police are also deployed to keep a watch on the developments in the city. CO Nam Singh himself is monitoring the entire situation, while SHO Ishwarchand Jangid is also active in the area. There was no visible protest of any kind during the Bandh. Traders are also closing shops without any protest. District Collector Namit Mehta has summoned a report in the matter.
